The Crime Stoppers Section is part of the Specialized Investigations
Division. Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $1000 for information that
will solve featured unsolved crimes and leads to the arrest and prosecution
of the suspects.
News Channel 5 is the exclusive television partner with Nashville Crime
Stoppers. They feature a Most Wanted segment on Monday night. Each
Tuesday night on The 6:00 Report you can watch the re-enactment of the
Crime of the Week.
Nashville Crime Stoppers also syndicates with four radio stations and The
Tennessean newspaper. On the first Sunday of every month, The Tennessean
publishes color photographs of the Crime Stoppers Wanted Persons.
Crime stoppers will also pay up to $1000 for clues called in to
615-74-CRIME on any other major crime, wanted person, stolen property, or
drugs. Callers can remain anonymous, they will only be known by the code
number that they are issued.
They do not take tips over the Internet. They only take tips by phone at
615-74-CRIME (615-742-7463).

Crime Stoppers Drug Hot-Line
Drug Hotline 244-DOPE (244-3673) Report drug activity in your
neighborhood to the Metro Police Department through the Drug Hot-Line,
244-DOPE (244-3673).
The objective of the Drug Hot-Line is to get drugs and the pushers off the
street. Citizens will be allowed to remain anonymous through code numbers
that will be assigned when they give drug information, and will be eligible
for cash rewards.
The rewards to the callers will be paid out of the drug forfeiture funds. These
are funds made up of money that has been confiscated from drug pushers and
from the sale of their confiscated property that has been awarded to the
police department by the courts.

Crime Stoppers Gang Hot-Line
In 1999, the Gang Hot-Line was established to enable citizens to call in and
report gang activity or information on gang members.
Callers will remain anonymous to prevent any fear from retaliation. All
information will be given a file number, and the same file number will be
used on any related additional information from a caller.
A special telephone line has been installed in the Metro Police Department
for citizens to call and report gang information, the Gang Hot-Line,
862-GANG (862-4264). It will be manned between the hours of 8:00 a.m.
and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
